a. 詞匯包：

1.remain (v.) 保持;剩余;殘余

remain意為“停留，留下”，相當(dāng)于stay。“呆在那里”可以說remain / stay there，但“呆在家里”只能說stay (at) home。

She remains in the house all these days. 她這些天一直呆在那棟房子里。

They all wished us to remain. 他們都希望我們留下來。

remain用作連系動詞，意為“保持(某種狀態(tài))，繼續(xù)存在，仍舊是”，后面接形容詞，名詞，分詞，不定式或介詞短語。

Peter became a manager but John remained a worker.

2. by accident偶然地;意外地

b. 句式包：

此句是由until引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句。not.. until 意為“只到…才…”。

2. 在否定句中，until常與瞬間動詞、短暫性動詞連用，表示“直到……才……”，“不到……不……”。

a. 詞匯包：

by mistake 錯誤地

by mistake 是介詞短語，意為“錯誤地;無意地;不小心地”，指由于錯誤的判斷而千百萬的失誤，常在句中作狀語。

b. 句式包：

1.George wanted to make the customer happy. 喬治想讓顧客開心。

句中的make意為“使得”，happy是形容詞，作賓語you的補(bǔ)足語，對賓語起補(bǔ)充說明作用，常用的結(jié)構(gòu)為“make+名詞/代詞+形容詞”。

The bad news makes her sad. 那個壞消息使得她傷心不已。

A boy broke the window. It made the headmaster angry.

一個孩子打碎了玻璃。這使得校長很生氣。

【溫馨提示】

當(dāng)賓語是不定式短語或從句時，多用it作形式賓語。

I made it a condition that everybody must be on time. 我提出一個條件，人人都要準(zhǔn)時。

The heavy rain made it impossible for us to go out. 大雨使得我們無法出去。

1.“make+賓語+n”意為‘使/讓某人 / 某物(成為)……”。

【例句】

We made him captain of our football team. 我們推選他作我們足球隊隊長。

We made him our monitor. 我們選他當(dāng)班長。

2.“make+賓語+do sth”意為“使某人做某事”。 在被動語態(tài)中，此類結(jié)構(gòu)中省略的動詞不定式 to 要還原。

The boy was made to work twelve hours a day. 這個男孩被迫每天干十二個小時的活。
